Recently, after becoming the first darter to reach £2 million earned in prize money, Luke Littler has the potential to be the first to achieve £3 million in just 54 days.

The 18-year-old recently doubled his world title tally at the PDC World Darts Championship, thrashing Gian van Veen 7-1 to take home the prestigious title alongside a sizeable £1 million prize pot. This victory not only solidified his status as world number one but also showcased his remarkable talent, setting the stage for a historic run in the sport.

How can Littler reach the unprecedented £3 million mark

The Nuke is currently sitting on £2,770,500 in the PDC Live Order of Merit. He won’t be able to add any money to this in the upcoming World Series of Darts events, which are non-ranking events. Instead, Littler is set to return to action from January 15-16 at the Bahrain Darts Masters, followed closely by the inaugural Saudi Darts Masters.

After these events, Littler will have his eyes firmly on the Winmau World Masters from January 29 – February 1. This tournament holds particular significance for him as it is one of the few major events he has yet to conquer, providing that extra motivation to seize the title in Milton Keynes. Winning this tournament would net him an additional £100,000, inching him closer to his goal.

Following the Winmau World Masters, he’s scheduled for a pair of Players Championship events in Wigan on February 16/17. Although Littler typically bypasses these floor events, he participated in the first two of the year in his previous two seasons on the PDC Tour. Winning both would net him £30,000—a significant boost to his total.

Next, he’ll defend his UK Open crown at the start of the 2026 season. Last year, he decisively triumphed over James Wade with a stunning 11-2 victory. If he enters the tournament as the reigning champion and claims all available ranking titles, he could amass £2,935,500—excluding the £34,500 deduction from his ranking. A win here, rewarding him with a £120,000 cheque, would push him over the coveted £3 million mark, setting yet another legendary milestone.

Sharing his thoughts on this remarkable goal, Littler expressed his eagerness to reach the record soon. “Obviously it could be fairly soon. I’ve got to keep playing well and keep adding the prize money to my rankings. I just want to stay at No.1 as long as possible and try to get to that £3 million while widening the gap between me and Luke,” he remarked with a blend of determination and excitement.
